Brad Pitt and George Clooney have been friends since the '90s, when both were up-and-coming actors in Hollywood.
One of their earliest meetings was when they both auditioned for the role of J.D. in 1991's Thelma and Louise. Pitt nabbed the iconic part, which Clooney wasn't thrilled about, but what followed was a formidable friendship that has continued on- and off-screen.
Not only are Pitt and Clooney one of Hollywood's closest pairs, but they're also great collaborators. They've worked on several projects together, most notably, the Ocean's franchise. Pitt and Clooney last connected on-screen in 2024's Wolfs.
"We've been friends for a long time," Clooney told GQ in August 2024. "And it's fun because we also check in on each other every once in a while, which is an important part of this. Things get complicated in life, and you always have to make sure everybody's okay."
Pitt agreed, revealing that the Jay Kelly star is a sounding board for him: "I'll call George on numerous occasions when things get bumpy."
As for working together, Clooney jokingly told PEOPLE, "There's nothing good about it. It's all a disaster," before adding, "It's fun to work with people you know."
