These celebrity parents did more than just pass on their talent — they handed down their entire faces.

While the children of celebrities sometimes feel they need to distance themselves from their famous parents — especially as they venture into show business — sometimes it’s not just the recognizable names that are a dead giveaway. It’s the genetics.

Between Ray Nicholson‘s mischievous grin, Damon Wayans Jr.‘s mannerisms and Lila Moss‘ distinct facial features it’s clear that some celebrity parents just hit copy and paste when it came to their kids.

Cillian Murphy’s 19-year-old son Aran sent the internet into a frenzy when he made a rare red carpet appearance at the premiere of the upcoming HBO television series Youth, in which he stars. Not only did Aran look just like his Oscar-winning dad, but his tone of voice and cool mannerisms matched his dad’s as well.

Jason Ritter looks so much like John Ritter that an impression of his late father brought fans to tears when he did it in a TikTok.

Back in September, a fan asked the Parenthood actor to “do the creep face your dad used to do chasing the girls around the apartment on [Three’s Company],” in the comment section on the social media site.

Jason kindly obliged and the results immediately went viral. Fans were quick to swarm his comments section, giving anecdotes of how much his father had meant to them.

“I was really surprised, especially [because it’s] such a silly face to give people such a nice, warm feeling,” Jason said of the viral moment while visiting The Talk. “It was special. I had no idea. I was just responding to one person and then so many people liked it.”

As for the striking resemblance to his dad, Jason also admitted he sees what other people see, especially when looking in the mirror or if he happens to catch himself on TV.

It never worked ... partially because he looked so much like his dad.

Now 41, Damon Jr. has embraced his roots and is working alongside his legendary dad in a new CBS comedy titled Poppa’s House.
