Jackass is back, just as you remembered it.
After episodes of the MTV series were removed from Paramount+ in late 2025, the episodes are back as “restored originals," now streaming. The move comes after Johnny Knoxville and the Jackass gang requested to “revisit and restore key creative elements that had been altered over time.”
In a statement from Knoxville, per Variety, it was explained, "In the time since the release of ‘Jackass’ 26 years ago, the television episodes had been re-edited, re-sequenced, and re-scored to the point they were unrecognizable."
"I found this out the hard way last year when attempting to watch them. Eeek! But kudos to Paramount for giving us the $$ to restore the shows to how they initially aired in the first place," he continued. We can’t wait until you see all the terrible things we did to each other way back then and in the manner we intended!”

Jackass first launched on MTV in 2000. Knoxville and series creators Bam Margera and Steve-O pivoted the series into feature films with 2002's Jackass: The Movie and took off from there.

Knoxville famously said in a 2022 interview on The Howard Stern Show that he suffered from brain damage after he was rammed by a bull for a stunt featured in Jackass Forever and doctors told him he "cannot take any more hits to the head" moving forward. He grew emotional while speaking with Rolling Stone. about his inability to perform stunts related to bulls in a February interview.
"Well, after all the concussions, I can't do [those stunts] anymore," Knoxville admitted. "I realize it's not the healthiest thing. So I can look at that now, as opposed to not wanting to."
Fans can revisit the series just in time for what is being declared the final installment in the Jackass film franchise, Jackass: Best and Last. The new film releases in theaters on June 26.
The new movie, which Knoxville, 55, first announced in January, features a mixture of archival footage from the series' fan-favorite moments and new stunts, including the use of a two-legged robot for a prostate exam.
The movie's cast features Knoxville alongside series regulars Steve-O, Chris Pontius, Jason Acuña and Dave England, along with Ehren McGhehey, Preston Lacy, Rachel Wolfson, Jasper, Compston Wilson, Sean McInerney and Zach Holmes.
Jackass is now streaming on Paramount+ in the U.S. and will be available in additional regions in the coming weeks.
