Alex Rodriguez and Jaclyn Cordeiro have split after three years of dating

A source confirmed the news to PEOPLE, adding that the two remain "good friends"

The couple went public with their relationship in December 2022, sharing a family photo for the holidays

Alex Rodriguez and his girlfriend, Jaclyn Cordeiro, have split after three years, but remain "good friends," a source confirms to PEOPLE.

The former Yankees star, 50, and Cordeiro, a fitness instructor, are “all good” despite the breakup, the insider says.

TMZ was first to report the news, with Cordeiro, 46, sharing the split herself.

“To clarify, Alex and I are currently taking some time apart but there continues to be mutual love, care, and deep respect between us and for our families. We remain supportive of one another, and there is absolutely no animosity, drama, or negative story here,” she told TMZ.

The founder of JACFIT added, "I'm also navigating a serious health matter involving a family member at this time, so my focus is understandably there.”

Rodriguez and Cordeiro were first romantically linked in October 2022, when they were photographed walking down Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills, California.

The pair officially went public with their relationship on Dec. 17, 2022, with a holiday-themed family photo on Instagram.

The 14-time MLB All-Star posted a photo of himself, Cordeiro and his two daughters in front of a Christmas tree.

"From our hearts to yours, Merry Christmas," Rodriguez wrote in the caption.

In 2023, she joined Rodriguez for the Super Bowl LVII. The pair were frequently seen on each other's social media accounts and sitting courtside for Minnesota Timberwolves and Lynx games, where Rodriguez is a co-owner.
