Amanda Peet is a mother of three.
The Your Friends & Neighbors actress married screenwriter David Benioff (born David Friedman) — who co-created Game of Thrones — in September 2006. They became parents in February 2007 when she welcomed her first child, daughter Frances. The pair then welcomed their second daughter, Molly, in April 2010, and became a family of five when their son, Henry, was born in December 2014.
In an essay for The New Yorker published on March 21, Peet revealed that she had been diagnosed with breast cancer in the fall of 2025, and opened up about the moment she decided to share the news with her children.
"My therapist said that I didn’t have to appear strong or unfazed or have definitive answers. She said that I’d be surprised by how much children can step up and that calling for all hands on deck can make them feel useful," Peet wrote. "My daughters were on the cusp of adulthood. If we were going to remain close, to know each other deeply over the course of a lifetime, we would have to learn how to have difficult conversations."
Here's everything to know about Amanda Peet's three kids.

Peet and Benioff welcomed their first child, daughter Frances Pen Friedman, in February 2007. She often goes by the nickname "Frankie," and her middle name is an ode to Peet's mother, Penny, Peet wrote in her essay for The New Yorker.
Frankie is a college student, and according to her TikTok, she attends Cornell University. She also shared a video of her parents being with her when she learned she was accepted to the school.
After becoming a mother, Peet shared in a November 2009 interview with Self that she learned a big parenting lesson from flight attendants.
"You have to put on your own oxygen mask before you put on others," Peet told the outlet. "It’s a good metaphor for parenting, but it’s really hard to do sometimes. A lot of women feel that if they’re exerting energy in different areas of their life, [then] it’s automatically detrimental to the child."
She added, "I think the exact opposite is true. Children need to have a role model who is able to identify her passions and go after them."
During an April 2025 appearance on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, the actress shared a story about a hilarious interaction she and Benioff had with their older daughter, who asked a rather blunt question.

Peet's second daughter, Molly June Friedman, was born in April 2010.
Molly stays out of the spotlight, though Peet got candid about what it was like telling her about her cancer diagnosis in her essay for The New Yorker.
"Molly cried, and Frankie—FaceTiming from her college quad—clapped her hand over her mouth and kept it there until she was able to process the excellent portion of the news: that it appeared I was Stage I and wasn’t going to need chemo," Peet wrote. "Both of them were afraid that we were still withholding information or sugarcoating my prognosis. I wondered whether I’d become too accustomed to therapeutic fibbing."

Peet's third child and first son, Henry Peet Friedman, was born on Dec. 7, 2014.
Two months earlier, the actress told PEOPLE that she was "very excited" to welcome her third child, though admitted she was "definitely very tired."
"I’m 42 and it’s my third baby," she said at the time, adding that Frankie and Molly were "very excited" to become big sisters.
"We’ll see what happens when he actually arrives!" Peet joked.
Henry stays primarily out of the spotlight, though the actress spoke about him — and his crush — during an April 2017 appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live!.
Peet and Jimmy Kimmel revealed that their kids, who were both toddlers at the time, were in swim and music classes together. She shared that Henry "declared his love" for Kimmel's daughter, Jane, who the talk show host joked "didn't necessarily return the sentiment."
According to Peet's essay in The New Yorker, Henry is involved in sports, including flag football.
