Paul Rudd and Thandiwe Newton stage an unforgettable wedding announcement video in this deleted scene from Anaconda, shared exclusively with PEOPLE.
The comedy, now available to watch at home on digital, stars Rudd and Jack Black as lifelong buddies Griff and Doug who set out to the Amazon to remake their favorite movie of all time: 1997's Anaconda.
"Things get real," a synopsis teases, "when an actual giant anaconda appears, turning their comically chaotic movie set into a deadly situation. The movie they’re dying to make? It might just get them killed."
PEOPLE's deleted scene shows Griff (Rudd) and Claire (Newton) filming their wedding save-the-date video, directed by pal Doug (Black) — and featuring a gory twist when a hand pops out of Claire's stomach with a ring, Alien style.

"What the hell is my mother gonna say when she sees this?" asks Claire. Griff responds, "Oh, Sharon's the coolest. She's gonna say, 'That was great.'"
"You deserve something that hasn't been done to death," says Doug. "You're gonna watch this the rest of your lives."

Directed by Tom Gormican (The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent), Anaconda also stars Steve Zahn, Daniela Melchior and Selton Mello, plus original stars Ice Cube and Jennifer Lopez pop up for cameos as versions of themselves.
Ahead of the film's release in theaters in December, Black told PEOPLE, "It's funny because in this movie we are playing filmmakers, and so in a way we are playing ourselves. It was very close to home."
"These friends that are going out to make their dreams come true... that's how I feel every time I go out to make a movie," he added.
Anaconda is now available on digital, then on 4K UHD, Blu-ray and DVD on March 17.
