The relationship between Hugh Jackman and Sutton Foster is reportedly facing a new challenge. A fresh report claims the issue has less to do with the couple themselves and more to do with one of Jackman’s closest friendships.

Sutton Foster doesn’t want Hugh Jackman to be friends with Ryan Reynolds

Hugh Jackman and Sutton Foster are reportedly at odds over the actor’s longtime friendship with Ryan Reynolds. According to Woman’s Day, Foster is unhappy about Jackman’s continued closeness with Reynolds amid the ongoing legal controversy involving Blake Lively.

A source claimed Foster believes the situation surrounding Lively could negatively affect Jackman. “Sutton and Blake don’t get on, and combined with the fact that Blake’s recent legal issues have affected Ryan’s career, Sutton’s right to be fearful of Hugh hanging out with Ryan,” the insider reportedly said.

The report also claimed Foster would prefer Jackman to distance himself from Reynolds. However, another source alleged the actor has no intention of ending the friendship. “Hugh’s not having any of it, of course,” the insider said. “He’s always been a loyal friend and has seen so many of his close mates go through hell.”

The source added that Jackman knows Reynolds is “not doing so well” and wants to support him, regardless of outside opinions. Jackman and Reynolds have shared a close friendship for nearly two decades. The pair have frequently appeared together on screen and have become known for their playful public exchanges.

The report also claimed Foster and Lively do not share a particularly close friendship, despite previously joining their partners on double dates. The rumored tension arises while Jackman manages other personal matters. His New York penthouse has reportedly remained on the market for more than three years. The sellers recently relisted the property at a reduced asking price.

Neither Jackman nor Foster has publicly addressed the reported claims about their relationship or his friendship with Reynolds.
