Wedding bells are chiming for Halley Kate and her boyfriend Reed Williams!The influencer, 25, announced her engagement in a post shared to her Instagram on Jan. 23.
"He ate with the 💍," Kate, whose real name is Halley Kate McGookin, wrote in the caption.In the clip, the influencer can be seen standing on a lawn with her boyfriend, before he gets down on one knee and proposes. In white text over the video, Kate wrote, "& just like that," adding Darlene Love's 1963 song "(Today I Met) The Boy I'm Gonna Marry."Later, the video cuts to another clip of Kate and Williams in front of a body of water. Williams picks Kate up as she shows off her newly blinged-out finger to the camera.

Kate also her 278,000 Instagram followers on her story, sharing a screenshot from the video of herself putting the ring on her finger after the proposal."Me putting it on myself," the influencer wrote, before sharing Williams' funny response."Reed: 'You reached for that very quickly, didn't even give me a chance.'"Kate also shared a snap of her hand with a red heart emoji placed over her new ring, explaining that her soon-to-be husband had hired a photographer who had hidden in the bushes. "Had no idea she was there 😂😂," she wrote on her Instagram Stories.

The pair later split toward the end of that year, but the couple quietly got back together a few months later, after a love triangle involving another influencer, Sophia LaCorte, blew up online.Williams often appears in Kate's videos, but Kate has expressed her desire to keep her relationship with her now fiancé more private. In an Oct. 29 video, the influencer got online and expressed her thoughts on the way she had initially handled her relationship with Williams on the Internet.

Ultimately, however, Kate told her audience that Williams has been an "amazing boyfriend" since they initially broke up two years ago.Kate has lots of weddings to look to for inspiration, but perhaps none so iconic as her best friend and fellow influencer Jazmyn Smith, who got married to fiancé Kevin Callari in May 2025 in an all-out, content-filled wedding hosted at a venue any Swiftie would recognize.

The N.Y.C. influencer's bridal party featured familiar faces, like Brigette Pheloung (known online as Acquired Style) and maid-of-honor Halley Kate.If Smith's wedding is to be any indication, perhaps we will also get a masterclass in content creation from Kate at her upcoming nuptials.According to a video Smith posted around the time of her wedding, she and Kate share an assistant, and she was responsible for capturing the content they planned to share ahead of time. They listed all of their desired videos on a spreadsheet organized by which dress Smith would be wearing when they were to be filmed.
