An influencer has gone viral for filming a picnic next to a Royal Guard and refusing to leave.
The New York City-based content creator, who goes by @elizabetheatsnyc on TikTok, caused an online uproar after posting a video of herself eating a full English breakfast on the ground next to a Royal Guard at Horse Guards Parade near Buckingham Palace in London.
At the start of the video, Elizabeth, who told PEOPLE she is "also a British citizen," films from her perspective and addresses the guard, who is sitting on a horse and appears to be a member of The Blues and Royals division of the Household Cavalry, a regiment of the British Army.
"You're lucky you're all the way up there, the tickle monster's feeling really feisty," Elizabeth says to the guard as she lifts her hand towards him while he looks at her from the corner of his eye. Elizabeth shared in another TikTok that she has an essential tremor, a neurological condition that causes uncontrollable rhythmic shaking, per Mayo Clinic.
"Live from the Capitol, we are indeed about to be removed," she says in the next clip, holding a basket full of an English breakfast while sitting on the ground.
In the next clip, she shows her interaction with a guard.
"It's not really here for you to come eat your lunch," a guard says, before she replies, "but I'm hungry."
She continues to eat her "brunch" in the next clip, starting with potatoes and baked beans.
"I'm having to swallow eight times to get it down my throat. I'm literally choking on it," she says after putting a bite in her mouth.
She then eats a sausage, before saying, "I know the guard is jealous," and turning to say to him, "stay jealous."
"I think we're in love," she says to the camera. She then eats a bite of egg before biting into the tomatoes, which she pronounces in a fake British accent "because that's how they say it."
"I think that was the only juicy thing on this tray, but that might be because I'm American," she says.
She proceeds to eat black pudding, a type of sausage made from blood, fat, and grains that she says "is blood."
"I'm properly disgusted," she says. She spits her bite into her hands. She then eats a mushroom, saying it "tastes how it looks."
"They're changing the guard right now," Elizabeth then says. "I don't really know what that means, I was just told to say that."
In the background, the first guard leaves and a new guard emerges.
"They left, guys," she says, before turning back around. "Oh, there's a new one!"

"What's up gang?" she says to the guard. "He does not like me, and he has a sword."
Elizabeth eats a piece of toast, declaring that "it tastes like drywall."
"I don't mean to be a hater, but are you guys unironically eating this?" she asks.
"Always remember you can make any spot a picnic spot," she concludes.
Many of the comments disagreed.
"I've unfollowed you bc of this. this is so disrespectful," one commenter wrote.
"You're being highly disrespectful not to mention inconsiderate. They aren't there for show. They actively serving and doing a job and get rotated on deployments," another said of the Royal Guards.
However, some of the comments on Elizabeth's Instagram Reel sharing the same video were more favorable.
"This is why social media was invented," a fan wrote.
Another more neutral commenter said, "I felt the anxiety in this one," adding in another reply that the guard "couldn't handle the sheer aura."
"I make humorous content that plays with social norms and no disrespect was intended," Elizabeth told PEOPLE of the video.
Another video seemingly shows Elizabeth and another woman preparing the brunch while sitting on the ground.
Another woman goes up to them and says something, to which Elizabeth replies, "you're a bigger arsehole," seemingly mocking the woman's accent.
"Okay guvnah, okay guvnah," she says to the woman.
"This was filmed on a public sidewalk. I'm pleased to report that everyone involved survived the incident," Elizabeth said in a tongue-in-cheek statement about the video.
Some comments on this video critiqued Elizabeth's picnic.
"Not like there isn't a massive park full of benches and greenery literally next door," one person said of the parks next to Horse Guards Parade and Buckingham Palace.
