On Sunday, Jan. 25, the "Price Tag" songstress announced the difficult decision to cancel her scheduled concert in Toronto due to "safety" concerns amid severe winter weather.

Sharing the news in an Instagram post on Sunday, Jessie J wrote, "I am personally making the decision to cancel tonight's show in TORONTO," adding she doesn't "feel comfortable having people risk their safety for the show."

"I understand some people will be upstairs and some I'm sure will be relieved, however I feel this is the right decision," the 37-year-old music artist continued, while ensuring ticket holders that they will be fully refunded.

"I am truly sorry," she further wrote to her followers. "I am currently standing in the venue and getting here wasn't safe and the snow is only. getting worse."

"I just can't imagine how people would get home in the dark with the weather like this," the post continued, while the "Bang Bang" artist concluded, "I hope you can respect my decision even if you disagree. But for me safety always has to come first."

She signed off the post with, "Lots of love, J."

In the comments section, many fans seemed to be understanding of the situation, with some users saying they had already been "worried" about traveling in the severe weather conditions.

"The right decision 👏🏽" one user applauded, while others left supportive messages like "we get it" and "thank you for looking out for us."

While a number of fans said they would have been willing to "trudge through the snow" in order to see Jessie J in concert, the majority of commenters said they were "grateful" to the singer for making the safest decision.
