Jimmy Kimmel continues to call out Donald Trump in the most inventive ways, and this week someone showed up to lend him a hand.
During a recent episode of *Jimmy Kimmel Live*, the late-night host explained that despite Federal Communications Commission chairman Brendan Carr threatening to "make it difficult for shows like ours and *The View* to interview politicians they don't align with," he had invited Trump on the show to commemorate the anniversary of his return to the White House. Well, kind of.
"Unfortunately, his head was unavailable to talk," Kimmel said before telling his audience that another part of the president's body had agreed to a sit-down instead. Moments later, Trump's badly bruised right hand introduced itself to the audience "in the flesh — the rotting, diseased flesh."

Jimmy Kimmel interviews Donald Trump's badly bruised hand in a wild 'Jimmy Kimmel Live' segment.
The mystery of the marks on Trump's right hand has made headlines since at least August 2024. "It's from shaking hands with thousands of people," the president told *Time* magazine when asked about it for his "Person of the Year" story published in December that year.
Trump was spotted with the bruising on several more occasions, NBC News has reported, including in November and February 2025, during French President Emmanuel Macron's visit to the White House. The visible bruising, discoloration, and occasional makeup or bandaging drew much media attention, as his critics and followers alike wondered if the condition was due to health issues.

Despite the many explanations given by the White House — including attributing the marks to aspirin use, which can thin the blood, and a circulatory condition known as Chronic Venous Insufficiency — the speculation surfaced again after similar bruising appeared on Trump's left hand.
When Kimmel asked "Trump's hand" about the "huge black and blue on it," the appendage feigned surprise.
"Oh, you can see that?" he replied. "Well, yes, clearly I can see it. Hold on. Let me apply some subtle foundation."
The subtle foundation? Some very poorly applied Cheez Whiz.

"So you just put Cheez Whiz on your hand, huh?" Kimmel inquired, to which the hand answered, "Yeah. And then they powder me like a donut. Bing bong bing — sexiest hand alive."
The segment escalated as Kimmel asked if Trump could "hear" his conversation with the hand.
"No, no, no," it replied. "He's in an extremely important meeting that requires deep concentration and laser focus."
"So he's sleeping is what you're saying?" Kimmel surmised, which was indeed what the hand meant as the interview jumped to footage of the president conked out in a session with his cabinet.

But when Kimmel began to offer the president a chance to connect at another time, the hand refused, explaining, "Whenever he's taking a televised siesta, we usually have me sign some executive orders." The hand then revealed that Trump had just signed "a ban on hands gender for everyone."
"Your kid goes to school a righty, they come home a lefty," the hand lamented. "Disgusting. Can't make this stuff up."
It was clear as Kimmel and the hand went back and forth that the satirical segment wasn't just about poking fun at Trump, but also the host criticizing the general secrecy and often obscure decision-making coming from the administration.
The segment fell in line with last Thursday's episode of *Live*, in which Kimmel brought out his stash of trophies — including a Daytime Emmy Award he won in 1999 for Outstanding Game Show Host for *Ben Stein's Money*, a Clio Award, a Webby Award, and a Writers Guild of America Award — in a bid to "bribe" Trump to pull ICE officers out of Minneapolis.
Kimmel wrapped the segment after the hand offered to introduce him to some of Trump's other body parts: his cankles. "That's all right, thank you," the host replied, bringing the interview to an end.
