Joshua Jackson is clocking in for his shift as the No. 1 fan of Katie Holmes.
After the former *Dawson's Creek* stars attended the world premiere of Holmes' latest directorial effort, *Happy Hours**,* over the weekend at the Tribeca Film Festival — the film saw the duo reunite for the first time since the enduring teen drama ended in 2003 — Jackson took to social media on Tuesday to gush about his longtime friend and now director.
"It takes many hands to make a movie. And I am thankful to every hand that touched this one. But... this is a Katie appreciation post," Jackson began his post dedicated to Holmes on Instagram.
"It is because of her light that all those hands were brought together," Jackson continued. "Because of her the generosity of her spirit that she wanted to bring this wonderful, loving, hopeful story into the world. Because of her tenacity that she shepherded it from the blank page through the editing room and onto that screen last Saturday night."

"[It Is] Because she is such an incredible friend that she made the space for us to be able to play together again after all these years," the actor wrote.
"I was amazed when we were kids and she was the bravest most raw of us telling the truth in every moment. And I am amazed now to watch her as a leader, with the same commitment to kindness, strength through compassion, to truth and the essential hopefulness of existence," wrote Jackson.
Concluding his sweet note, Jackson told fans that he hopes they "enjoy this movie as much as I did" so that they can "be amazed by her, too."
Does Katie Holmes think she and 'Dawson's Creek' costar Joshua Jackson should be a couple again?

Last July, Holmes announced that she and Jackson would be reuniting for not one, not two, but a trilogy of films about the "pursuit of love."
*Happy Hours* tells the story of two people "navigating their relationship within the challenges of careers and family responsibilities and the pursuit of love despite life's inevitable obstacles," per the film's official synopsis. "The film is a character driven dramedy that explores the emotional journey of young loves who reconnect as adults, with the connective thread of shared joys, loss, and hope."
The film is the latest in the directorial résumé Holmes established in 2016 with the character study *All We Had*, starring Luke Wilson, Richard Kind, and Judy Greer. She's since directed the films *Alone Together *and *Rare Objects*, as well as an episode of the 2017 miniseries *The Kennedys: After Camelot*.

Jackson opened up about his enduringly strong bond with Holmes during an episode of Jesse Tyler Ferguson's *Dinner's on Me* podcast in April.
"Whether we talk to each other all the time, [Busy Philipps] and Michelle [Williams] are very, very close, and Katie and I are very close," he shared at the time. "Sometimes it's not a weekly or monthly or even a half-yearly call, [but] there's probably no other people in your life that you are that forged to."
