Joy Behar has been absent from The View for three days after Whoopi Goldberg said her co-host was "not feeling well"

This comes two months after Behar missed multiple episodes due to a foot injury in November

The View airs weekdays at 11 a.m. ET on ABC

Joy Behar once again did not appear on the latest episode of The View, marking her third absence in a row.

On Wednesday, Jan. 28, Ana Navarro filled in for Behar, 83, one day after also taking the comedian’s spot due to what panelist Whoopi Goldberg briefly shared was an unexplained ailment.

"We want to let you know Joy is out, she's not feeling well, so we want her to feel better and get her behind back here," Goldberg, 70, said on Tuesday, Jan. 27.

Behar also missed the Jan. 26 show, although she is regularly off on Mondays.

PEOPLE has reached out to a representative for The View for comment.

In November 2025, the comedian similarly took several days away from her co-hosting duties. At the time, Goldberg revealed that Behar was injured and would be returning as soon as possible.

"Well, hello, hello, hello, and welcome to The View, y’all," the Sister Act actress said during the Wednesday, Nov. 12 taping, per Entertainment Weekly. She added, "Now, Joy is out because she hurt her foot, and hopefully she’ll be back here tomorrow."

Later that week, Behar detailed the “very, very, very painful” incident that resulted in multiple episodes off-air, revealing that she had a broken toe.

"Now, I've been off for a few days as you might have noticed," she began the Friday, Nov. 14 broadcast. "Here's what happened: I dropped my iPad on my foot and I broke my toe."

She then lifted her foot over the table, showing her three middle toes being held together by a bandage. "What they do is they put the toes together, because it's broken. And it's very, very, very painful. I do not recommend you dropping anything on your toes."

Behar is one of the original members of The View, joining as a co-host for its 1997 debut. She left the gig in 2013, but returned in 2015 and has remained a fixture of the show ever since.

In an episode of The View's official Behind the Table podcast last year, the Emmy winner recalled her agent initially advising her not to take the gig in the '90s.

“When I got this job — when was it? 1997? — I was sort of on the cusp of getting a sitcom. I had been in a sitcom already, and I'd done a pilot,” explained Behar, who appeared on NBC’s TV adaptation of the 1987 film Baby Boom in the late ’80s.

“The call comes for this job to do The View with Barbara Walters. Do you know that my agent told me not to take it," she continued. The agent, Behar added, argued that the show didn’t pay enough, although she "knew that it would be a smart show" with Walters involved.

The View airs weekdays at 11 a.m. ET on ABC.
