The cast then sat down for a conversation with comedian Casey Wilson, before the they discussed high-school feuds and looked back on events that took place over two decades prior.

They previously starred in Laguna Beach: The Real Orange County, which debuted on MTV in 2004 and ran for three seasons, following the then-group of Southern California teens as they navigated school.

"It was a really weird thing we went through," Conrad says in the trailer. "Like, it's strange that people showed up at our high school and asked us to do this."

Elsewhere in the trailer, the Laguna Beach cast looks back at their family lives, the show being "hard to revisit" for some, and how far they've come in the years since. At one point, Colletti, 40, refers to a "serious, full-circle moment."

Cavallari, Conrad and their cast mates can also be seen shedding a few tears, before they toasted each other at a bonfire.

"Did anybody think 20 years ago, when we last left the bonfire, that we were gonna come back and actually reunite here and have this moment?" Colletti asked.

Per a release from the Roku Channel, the two-hour reunion special will follow the cast as they "relive moments from the show that shaped a generation." Conrad, Colletti and Cavallari executive produce alongside Lucilla D’Agostino, Barry Poznick, Bill Langworthy and Liz Gateley.

"Featuring behind-the-scenes stories, cast reactions to iconic episodes, and a return to Laguna Beach, they reflect on the friendships, love triangles and drama that changed their lives," the streamer notes.

The special was announced in September 2025, marking the cast's first time coming together since 2006. "Laguna Beach wasn’t just a television series; it defined a generation of pop culture and paved the way for the reality genre as we know it,” Brian Tannenbaum, Head of Roku Originals, Roku Media, said at the time. "Reuniting this cast two decades later is a dream, and we are delighted to give streamers a front-row seat to the nostalgia."

Series creator Gateley also said at the time that when she "first pitched the show to my bosses at MTV, never in a million years did I think we would find such a perfect group of real friends."

"The show not only changed my life and the cast's lives, but the series meant so much to a generation of fans who've been waiting for this," she said. "To partner with Roku to reunite the cast and produce this special with Lauren, Stephen and Kristin as executive producers 20 years later is a dream."

During an October episode of Let's Be Honest with Kristin Cavallari, the podcast host revealed that she and her former arch-nemesis made up while filming the highly anticipated reunion and were "friends." She called the filming “really healing in a lot of ways.”

“It was very therapeutic,” she said. “And I think it's funny because, if I'm being completely honest, I didn't actually want to do it. And I'm really, really happy that I did.”

The Reunion: Laguna Beach streams on the Roku Channel on April 10.
