Lauren Jauregui told PEOPLE in an exclusive interview what she’s most looking forward to in 2026
The recent Dancing with the Stars contestant and Fifth Harmony alum also reflected on what she’s learned from life so far
“I’ve come to a point now where there’s no need to be the harshest person in the world to myself when everyone else is already so harsh and the world is already so harsh,” she said
Lauren Jauregui is ready to say what she’s wanting this year.
The “Ego” singer, 29, recently told PEOPLE in an exclusive interview what she’s most looking forward to in 2026.
“I’m in my Saturn Return right now,” the Fifth Harmony alum said, referring to the popular astrological event during which the planet Saturn returns to the exact place it was at the time of your birth.
Jauregui added at The Hollywood Reporter and Spotify’s pre-Golden Globes party in Los Angeles on Jan. 8, “And I’m turning 30 [on June 27], so I’m really looking forward to that. I’m looking forward to just continuing to step into myself and discover myself and what else life has for me.”

The Dancing with the Stars alum also reflected on her life so far.

“I’ve definitely gained a lot of perspective in so many different aspects of my life,” she explained. “But I will say, I think just how hard I am on myself.”
“I’ve come to a point now where there’s no need to be the harshest person in the world to myself when everyone else is already so harsh and the world is already so harsh,” Jauregui continued. “So I’m really creating that safe space for me right now, and I’m really looking forward to how that allows me to flourish even more — feeling safe inside.”

At the pre-Golden Globes event, Jauregui also discussed her latest single, “Ego,” which came out just after her DWTS journey ended.
“It’s a soft rock song about being introspective and just laying down your ego to find yourself an honest connection. We all need to do that,” she said.
