The LIV Golf team finale in Michigan has cast more doubt after travel plans have reportedly been cancelled.
According to Flushing It on social media, contractors for the event have had their travel and accommodation cancelled for the final event in Michigan, with LIV Golf facing a potential shutdown thanks to the PIF cutting funding following the 2026 season. Players have reportedly been looking for exit strategies regardless of the league's future.
Flushing It Golf also speculates that contractors are awaiting payment. This follows a lawsuit from a Canadian technology provider, which is seeking over $1 million for unpaid invoices and lost revenue related to LIV Golf's "Any Shot, Any Time" broadcast feature.

Martin Kaymer said this week he expects the season-ending team championship event to be cancelled, with CEO Scott O’Neil warning employees of potential layoffs in the near future.
Kaymer attended the captains' meeting at LIV Golf UK following the circuit's seven-week hiatus. The gathering followed the Open Championship at Royal Birkdale, where tour stars like Lucas Herbert and Bryson DeChambeau competed.
The clock is ticking for a lifeline for the circuit, as many players are unsure what their future looks like and O’Neil has reportedly been asking for $350 million and pitching that the circuit will become profitable in about two years.

“We were hoping for a bit more information,” Kaymer told Today's Golfer at JCB Golf & Country Club on Wednesday. “I mean, we got the information, but we were more looking for decisions or what was happening next year.
“And unfortunately, even Scott, he can’t tell us because he doesn’t know. It depends so much on the investors. Hopefully, I think there’s a lot of interest and it’s looking good.
“But we’ve all been there. If the signature is not there, then it doesn’t mean anything.”

Jon Rahm would not open up on his future with the league, and DeChambeau has been nearly silent thanks to a controversial two-stroke penalty at the Open Championship that saw him tumbling down the leaderboard and receiving strict criticism from World No. 2 Rory McIlroy.
“I'm not going to share anything that I can't share with you guys right now,” said Rahm after being asked if he’s expecting to play on LIV Golf in 2027.
“I'm always optimistic. I play a game for a living,” added Rahm. “I can't really be too upset about how things are going in life.
“Even though I'm very frustrated on the course very often, off the course I'm very different to what a lot of people think.”
