The next time Star Wars fans step into the cockpit of the iconic Millennium Falcon at Disney parks, they'll embark on a new mission alongside the Mandalorian and his adorable youngling Grogu.
Starting May 22, the Disney parks are inviting guests on a new mission on board the original Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge attraction, Millenium Falcon: Smugglers Run, at both Disneyland and Disney World’s Hollywood Studios. The change aligns with the release of Lucasfilm’s The Mandalorian and Grogu,

On May 4, the Disney Parks social media page shared a first look at riders’ mission briefing, delivered by Din Djarin, the mysterious Mandalorian bounty hunter himself.
“Listen up crew, our bounties are two Imperial Officers and a pirate,” he says in the clip. “The goal is to capture them and collect any crates they’re transporting. Thanks to Hondo’s intel, we know they’re on Tatooine. Grogu and I will meet you there.”
The notorious pirate captain Hondo Ohnaka will share the coordinates for the three bounties and send riders to Tatooine. Alongside the Mandalorian’s Razor Crest, flight crews will chase the bounties across the galaxy, to either the Cloud City on Bespin, the city-planet of Coruscant or the wreckage of the second Death Star in orbit above Endor.

The new mission marks the first time flight crew will be in control of choosing their own destination. Another new gameplay addition allows those in the engineer positions to communicate with Grogu.
Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run was an opening day attraction at both Disneyland and Disney World’s Galaxy’s Edge lands in 2019. The attraction invites guests to come aboard Han Solo’s infamous ship for an interactive smuggling adventure. Each cockpit holds up to six crew members with up to two people per role: pilots, gunners and engineers.

“Opening an attraction and such a massive movie on the same day wouldn’t be possible without the relationships we have inside Disney,” Imagineer Asa Kalama said during a panel at SXSW in March 2025. “Now we’ve all worked together to come up with a new mission for Smugglers Run that plays into this narrative.”

The new film originates from the TV show The Mandalorian starring Pedro Pascal, and picks up where season 3 left off. The show followed the titular character as he ventured through the Star Wars galaxy with his companion, Grogu, commonly known as Baby Yoda.

Jon Favreau, who created the television show, co-wrote the film with Dave Filoni and directed the movie.
"I have loved telling stories set in the rich world that George Lucas created,” Favreau said in a statement. “The prospect of bringing the Mandalorian and his apprentice Grogu to the big screen is extremely exciting.”
Sigourney Weaver, Jeremy Allen White and Jonny Coyne will star alongside Pascal in the film.
