NFL mock draft roundup: Experts predict entire first round in 2026

Only two teams are playing in Super Bowl 60, which means the NFL's other 30 teams (and their fanbases) can turn their attention to the 2026 season. That means shifting focus to the offseason's marquee event: the NFL draft.

There are just under three months until the 2026 NFL Draft gets started in Pittsburgh, but everything leading up to it is pretty much set. The NFL draft order's first 30 picks are locked in, with only the order of the last two picks to be determined, and the NFL world seems to be in agreement about what the Las Vegas Raiders will do with the No. 1 overall pick. There even seems to be a bit of a consensus about the New York Jets' choice at No. 2.

Behind that, though, things become much more uncertain.

Here's how NFL draft experts Ayrton Ostly of USA TODAY Sports, Mel Kiper of ESPN and NFL Media's Daniel Jeremiah laid out their most recent mock drafts:

1 / 322026 NFL mock draft: Where do College Football Playoff top stars rate?1. New York Jets - Fernando Mendoza, QB, Indiana2026 NFL mock draft roundup

Latest order via Tankathon.com. Picks No. 31 and 32 will be finalized after the Super Bowl.

1. Las Vegas RaidersUSA TODAY Sports: QB Fernando Mendoza, IndianaESPN: QB Fernando Mendoza, IndianaNFL Media: QB Fernando Mendoza, Indiana

USA TODAY Sports: "Mendoza led Indiana to the program's first national championship and showcased exactly why he'll be the No. 1 pick in the draft. Las Vegas has lots of needs all over the roster but can't pass up on a new franchise quarterback to start a new regime."

ESPN: "Mendoza transferred to the Hoosiers from Cal and immediately leveled up, throwing 41 touchdown passes and just six interceptions in 2025. I see great ball placement on the tape, and he's a no-brainer to begin Round 1. Las Vegas could start to build something offensively here with Mendoza, running back Ashton Jeanty and tight end Brock Bowers."

2. New York JetsUSA TODAY Sports: LB Arvell Reese, Ohio StateESPN: LB Arvell Reese, Ohio StateNFL Media: LB Arvell Reese, Ohio State

USA TODAY Sports: "With Dante Moore back in school, the Jets get the top prospect in the class. Reese is a modern linebacker who can truly do it all with elite athleticism in a 6-foot-4, 243-pound frame."

NFL Media: "The Jets have needs all over their defense. Reese is versatile and athletic. I think he’ll benefit from working off the edge full time after also playing off-ball linebacker during his Buckeyes career."

3. Arizona CardinalsUSA TODAY Sports: OT Spencer Fano, UtahESPN: OT Francis Mauigoa, Miami (FL)NFL Media: OT Spencer Fano, Utah

USA TODAY Sports: "This is a bit of a reach and Arizona still hasn't settled on a new head coach but Fano could be an easy fit. He's the top offensive lineman prospect in the class and started the last two years at right tackle for the Utes. He could take over for pending free agent Jonah Williams at that spot or kick inside."

ESPN: "Mauigoa would have just missed the chance to join his brother, linebacker Kiko Mauigoa, with the Jets, but I still have Francis as a top-three pick thanks to his mauling play style, experience (41 career starts) and overall consistency as a blocker."

4. Tennessee TitansUSA TODAY Sports: Edge Keldric Faulk, AuburnESPN: Edge David Bailey, Texas TechNFL Media: OT Francis Mauigoa, Miami (FL)

USA TODAY Sports: "Tennessee hired Robert Saleh to take over as head coach after another year with the San Francisco 49ers. Saleh's defenses there put a priority on long, powerful, athletic defensive linemen. Faulk fits that bill and is one of the youngest prospects in the class."

NFL Media: "This offseason is about helping Cam Ward take the next step, and that starts with doing a better job of protecting him. Mauigoa has excellent size/strength and still has room to develop."

5. New York GiantsUSA TODAY Sports: WR Carnell Tate, Ohio StateESPN: WR Carnell Tate, Ohio StateNFL Media: CB Mansoor Delane, LSU

USA TODAY Sports: "It was between offensive line or wide receiver for New York here. Tate's skill set would fit well alongside returning starter Malik Nabers. His size (6-foot-3, 190 pounds) and contested catch abilities could be exciting for second-year quarterback Jaxson Dart."

NFL Media: "The Giants could add a receiver later in the draft – it's a deep class at the position – but Delane would immediately be their most talented cornerback."

6. Cleveland BrownsUSA TODAY Sports: OT Francis Mauigoa, Miami (FL)ESPN: OT Spencer Fano, UtahNFL Media: Edge David Bailey, Texas Tech

USA TODAY Sports: "Like New York, we're thinking either offensive line or skill position for the Browns. Given how many of the offensive line pieces are hitting free agency, we're going with Mauigoa here. The Hurricanes' right tackle has the size to stick there at the NFL with mauling power in the run game and a strong anchor in pass protection."

NFL Media: "Cleveland should take the best player available here. A receiver could also be in play, but Bailey has the best get-off of any pass rusher in the draft. Alex Wright is a solid edge who signed a contract extension in November, but Bailey is a different caliber of player. Myles Garrett would have some talented running mates up front."

7. Washington CommandersUSA TODAY Sports: Edge Rueben Bain Jr., Miami (FL)ESPN: Edge Rueben Bain Jr., Miami (FL)NFL Media: LB Sonny Styles, Ohio State

USA TODAY Sports: "Bain makes it back-to-back Miami products off the board. Arm length is a concern but his power is undeniable. Dan Quinn's defense needs an influx of young talent and Bain should fit that bill."

ESPN: Bain knows how to reach the quarterback, with 9.5 sacks and 17.5 tackles for loss in 2025 (including a sack and 2.5 TFLs on Monday night against Indiana in the national title game). He has a great mix of power, speed and bend, and the Commanders could move him around on the defensive line to create mismatches."

8. New Orleans SaintsUSA TODAY Sports: RB Jeremiyah Love, Notre DameESPN: WR Jordyn Tyson, Arizona StateNFL Media: RB Jeremiyah Love, Notre Dame

USA TODAY Sports: "New Orleans' 2025 class played well and they get the most dynamic offensive weapon in the 2026 class in Love here. The Notre Dame product is the ideal modern back with receiving chops and home-run speed out the backfield. Kellen Moore could get creative using him all over the offense for Tyler Shough in year two."

NFL Media: "I love – no pun intended – the idea of pairing Tyler Shough with the most electric playmaker in the draft."

9. Kansas City ChiefsUSA TODAY Sports: WR Jordyn Tyson, Arizona StateESPN: RB Jeremiyah Love, Notre DameNFL Media: Edge Rueben Bain Jr., Miami (FL)

USA TODAY Sports: "Kansas City needs more weapons on offense for Patrick Mahomes and Tyson is arguably the top wide receiver in the class. He lacks elite speed but his precise route-running and separation abilities should earn him plenty of targets. His injury history may knock him down to the bottom of the top 10, like it does here."

ESPN: "Ignoring positional value, Love is the second-best prospect on my Big Board. Vision. Burst. Power. Speed. Receiving skills. He has it all, and he ran for 1,372 yards and 18 touchdowns this past season."

10. Cincinnati BengalsUSA TODAY Sports: Edge David Bailey, Texas TechESPN: S Caleb Downs, Ohio StateNFL Media: CB Jermod McCoy, Tennessee

USA TODAY Sports: "Cincinnati's defense needs pass rush help in a big way with Trey Hendrickson hitting free agency. You couldn't find a more productive pass rusher in the FBS than Bailey in 2025. There are some run defense concerns but he'd be a plug-and-play rusher off the edge."

NFL Media: "Cincinnati needs help all over the field on defense. McCoy missed the 2025 season due to an ACL injury, but his 2024 tape was outstanding. He’s squarely in the mix to be the top CB in the draft."

11. Miami DolphinsUSA TODAY Sports: S Caleb Downs, Ohio StateESPN: Edge Keldric Faulk, AuburnNFL Media: S Caleb Downs, Ohio State

USA TODAY Sports: "Miami hired Jeff Hafley whose background is in defensive back coaching. Xavier McKinney flourished in Green Bay under Hafley and he could absolutely find the best way to maximize Downs. The Buckeyes safety is firmly one of the three best prospects in the class."

ESPN: "Miami could use this pick to reload on the edge. The Dolphins traded Jaelan Phillips at the deadline, and Bradley Chubb could be a cap-saving release this offseason, since he has no guaranteed money left on his deal. Mixing Chop Robinson's burst with Faulk's power could be a long-term solution."

12. Dallas CowboysUSA TODAY Sports: CB Jermod McCoy, TennesseeESPN: LB Sonny Styles, Ohio StateNFL Media: CB Colton Hood, Dallas Cowboys

USA TODAY Sports: "Dallas parted ways with Trevon Diggs after finishing as one of the worst pass defenses in the league in 2025. McCoy has some medical questions after tearing his ACL and missing the entire college season. But what he put on tape in 2024 shows an ideal outside cornerback for the NFL level."

NFL Media: "I expect Dallas to draft an edge rusher in Round 1 (SEE: Pick No. 20 in this mock), but I’d like to see the Cowboys upgrade the secondary, too. Hood would be a plug-and-play starter for them."

13. Los Angeles Rams (from Atlanta)USA TODAY Sports: CB Mansoor Delane, LSUESPN: CB Jermod McCoy, TennesseeNFL Media: WR Makai Lemon, USC

USA TODAY Sports: "Los Angeles should brace for losing defensive coordinator Chris Shula and this is one way to prepare for that. Delane fits the bill of a Rams player: not an outstanding athlete by testing numbers but a productive player in game situations. His technique is impressive for his age and he'd be an upgrade at the position."

ESPN: "That all said, McCoy is a ball hawk, and he's still a top-15 prospect for me. He had four interceptions and nine pass breakups back in 2024. Los Angeles has gotten the most out of its cornerbacks this season en route to the NFC Championship Game, but it still needs a true CB1. The Rams gave up 7.6 yards per pass attempt this season, tied for fifth highest."

14. Baltimore RavensUSA TODAY Sports: DT Peter Woods, ClemsonESPN: WR Makai Lemon, USCNFL Media: OG Olavivavega Ioane, Penn State

USA TODAY Sports: "Jesse Minter is the newest Ravens head coach and his background on defense influences this pick. Woods has the talent to be a Pro Bowl player but needs to improve his consistency to maximize that. Minter showed he can do just that while with the Chargers."

NFL Media: "The Ravens need to upgrade at guard, and center Tyler Linderbaum is due to reach free agency in March. Ioane has a strong case to be considered the best offensive lineman in this year’s draft."

15. Tampa Bay BuccaneersUSA TODAY Sports: LB CJ Allen, GeorgiaESPN: TE Kenyon Sadiq, OregonNFL Media: Edge Cashius Howell, Texas A&M

USA TODAY Sports: "Lavonte David is a franchise legend but will be one of the oldest players in the league in 2026. Allen is a tackling machine with sideline-to-sideline athleticism packaged in a 6-foot-1, 235-pound frame."

ESPN: "What Tampa Bay needs is exactly what Sadiq would provide. He's a big, 6-foot-3 target with explosive traits, making him a matchup nightmare for opponents. Mayfield could get him the ball in space to let him use his after-the-catch ability to move the sticks or fire jump balls to him in the back of the end zone. I really like this match."

16. New York Jets (from Indianapolis)USA TODAY Sports: WR Makai Lemon, USCESPN: QB Ty Simpson, AlabamaNFL Media: WR Carnell Tate, Ohio State

USA TODAY Sports: "New York didn't get a quarterback at No. 2 but improves the offense here. Lemon thrived in the slot for the Trojans as a chain-moving merchant who can find holes in zone coverage and gain leverage against defenders. He'd be a nice complement for Garrett Wilson in the pass-catching corps."

ESPN: "I do have some concerns about Simpson. He has 15 career starts, which means this pick would come with a lot of risk. That's just not enough game experience. We also can't ignore his dip in performance in the second half of the 2025 season. But there's also no questioning his upside. Simpson has good pocket presence, and he fired 28 touchdown passes and only five interceptions this past season. If the Jets can surround him with talent on offense and develop him, he has a high ceiling."

17. Detroit LionsUSA TODAY Sports: OT Kadyn Proctor, AlabamaESPN: OG Olavivavega Ioane, Penn StateNFL Media: Edge Akheem Mesidor, Miami (FL)

USA TODAY Sports: Proctor is an outlier athlete at 6-foot-7 and 360 pounds. He has all of the tools to be a long-term tackle but might start out at guard to improve his consistency. Good luck getting Dan Campbell to pass on Proctor after seeing Alabama utilizing him as a receiver on screens."

NFL Media: "Mesidor would thrive opposite Aidan Hutchinson, going from one dynamic pass-rush duo (with Bain at Miami) to another."

18. Minnesota VikingsUSA TODAY Sports: CB Avieon Terrell, ClemsonESPN: CB Mansoor Delane, LSUNFL Media: S Emmanuel McNeil-Warren

USA TODAY Sports: "Minnesota crucially retained Brian Flores as defensive coordinator and gets him a young piece to develop in the secondary. Terrell may be slightly undersized but outplays his frame and causes turnovers in both coverage and run defense."

NFL Media: "I’m higher on McNeil-Warren than some other people around the league, but I love his combination of size and explosive playmaking ability. He could help replace Harrison Smith if the soon-to-be 37-year-old does indeed retire."

19. Carolina PanthersUSA TODAY Sports: Edge T.J. Parker, ClemsonESPN: LB CJ Allen, GeorgiaNFL Media: WR Jordyn Tyson, Arizona State

USA TODAY Sports: "Carolina could go plenty of directions with this pick. Ultimately, we went with more pass rush help. Parker has the tools to be a good rotational rusher sooner than later but, like much of the Clemson defense, underperformed in 2025."

ESPN: "Christian Rozeboom is a free agent, and the Panthers could use a three-down middle linebacker to step in. Allen is a read-and-react player who sees it and goes. In 2025, Allen had 97 tackles. He also can chip in with the pass rush, and you'll see him drop in coverage on tape."

20. Dallas Cowboys (from Green Bay)USA TODAY Sports: LB Sonny Styles, Ohio StateESPN: Edge Akheem Mesidor, Miami (FL)NFL Media: Edge Keldric Faulk, Auburn

USA TODAY Sports: "We expect the Cowboys to trade down if possible because they have just two picks in the first 100 selections. If they stay put, look for them to target linebacker in a loaded class. Styles was originally the top prospect before Reese overtook him. He offers similar size and athleticism for the Dallas defense."

NFL Media: "Faulk is a tough evaluation. He has great size and is a smooth athlete, but I’d like to see him play with a little more urgency. The upside is tremendous."

21. Pittsburgh SteelersUSA TODAY Sports: CB Colton Hood, TennesseeESPN: WR Denzel Boston, WashingtonNFL Media: WR Denzel Boston, Washington

USA TODAY Sports: "Pittsburgh is still searching for a head coach at time of publishing but needs young talent in the secondary regardless of who is hired. This time around, we have them getting Hood, who took on a bigger role with Jermod McCoy's injury in 2025 and performed very well."

ESPN: "We saw what happens when this offense loses Metcalf, as the Steelers managed just one passing touchdown over Weeks 17 and 18 while Metcalf was suspended. But Boston runs strong routes and uses his physicality to box out defenders and make plays on the ball. He had 11 touchdowns this past season, including seven in the red zone. He'd elevate the unit right out of the gate and take some weight off Metcalf."

22. Los Angeles ChargersUSA TODAY Sports: OG Olavivavega Ioane, Penn StateESPN: DT Peter Woods, ClemsonNFL Media: DT Lee Hunter, Texas Tech

USA TODAY Sports: "The Chargers' interior offensive line was one of the worst in the league this past season. They have a new coordinator in the building but could use an upgrade in talent as well. Ioane is the top interior offensive lineman prospect in the class thanks to his athleticism and power at ideal size."

NFL Media: "Hunter is one of my early draft crushes. He has outstanding size, quickness and the ability to disrupt. With Teair Tart due to become a free agent, Hunter would provide some insurance."

23. Philadelphia EaglesUSA TODAY Sports: TE Kenyon Sadiq, OregonESPN: CB Avieon Terrell, ClemsonNFL Media: CB Avieon Terrell, Clemson

USA TODAY Sports: "Dallas Goedert is hitting free agency and Sadiq could make sense as his heir in the Eagles offense. Sadiq is a vertical threat and a willing blocker with plenty of runway to improve. He'll be a 21-year-old rookie."

ESPN: "He broke up nine passes and forced five – yes, five – fumbles in 2025. He's terrific in man coverage, and coordinator Vic Fangio had his defense in man 55% of the time this season, third most in the NFL."

24. Cleveland Browns (from Jacksonville)USA TODAY Sports: WR Denzel Boston, WashingtonESPN: WR Zachariah Branch, GeorgiaNFL Media: OT Kadyn Proctor, Alabama

USA TODAY Sports: "Cleveland bolstered the offensive line with their first pick in the first round and upgrades the skill positions here. Boston's a big-bodied ball-winner who can be a piece to build around for the Browns passing game."

NFL Media: "Proctor is an enormous human. If the Browns can keep Dawand Jones healthy, they would have a massive duo at tackle."

25. Chicago BearsUSA TODAY Sports: DT Caleb Banks, FloridaESPN: DT Kayden McDonald, Ohio StateNFL Media: S Dillon Thieneman, Oregon

USA TODAY Sports: "Chicago's secondary played extremely well in its final game of the year. The Bears opt to upgrade the front for coordinator Dennis Allen with their first-round pick. Banks missed time in 2025 with a foot injury but has the size and elite athleticism to be a building block for the front into the future."

ESPN: "McDonald had a huge breakout season, showcasing power and quickness with 67 tackles, 9.5 tackles for loss and three sacks. And considering Chicago was gashed for 5.0 yards per carry this season, it could use a solid 326-pound presence up the middle."

26. Buffalo BillsUSA TODAY Sports: OT Caleb Lomu, UtahESPN: WR Chris Brazzell, TennesseeNFL Media: LB CJ Allen, Georgia

USA TODAY Sports: "Two of the three interior starters on Buffalo's offensive line are hitting free agency and the Bills don't have the money to retain them all. Lomu is raw but has great athleticism and spent the 2025 season at left tackle for Utah. In this scenario, he'd be plugged in at guard which might end up being a better spot for him due to his lean frame."

NFL Media: "Linebacker could be a need for Buffalo with Matt Milano and Shaq Thompson ticketed for free agency. Allen can run and hit, but he also has the intangibles you want at the position. The Bills need to improve a defense that ranked 28th against the run."

27. San Francisco 49ersUSA TODAY Sports: WR KC Concepcion, Texas A&MESPN: OT Caleb Lomu, UtahNFL Media: TE Kenyon Sadiq, Oregon

USA TODAY Sports: "It looks like Brandon Aiyuk is heading to greener pastures and the 49ers lacked weapons outside of Christian McCaffrey down the stretch. Concepcion is a dynamic open-field threat for whom Kyle Shanahan could scheme up plenty of touches."

ESPN: "I recently moved Lomu into my top 25 rankings. He is really good in both pass protection and run blocking, and his quickness is going to be an asset in the NFL. Could he be the heir apparent for Trent Williams at left tackle? Williams will turn 38 this summer and has just one year left on his deal. San Francisco can't kick the can down the road too much further on its long-term plan. Lomu had 24 career starts and allowed just three sacks during that time -- all in 2024."

28. Houston TexansUSA TODAY Sports: DT Kayden McDonald, Ohio StateESPN: OT Kadyn Proctor, AlabamaNFL Media: OT Monroe Freeling, Georgia

USA TODAY Sports: "Houston's defense was one of the best in the league in 2025 but could use an upgrade on the interior line. McDonald isn't much of a pass rusher at this point but Houston wouldn't need him to be. Instead, he'd eat up blocks to free up the rest of the second-level defenders."

NFL Media: "The Texans did a nice job of maneuvering to land Aireontae Ersery in last year’s draft. Now they get another young tackle to pair with him. Freeling is just scratching the surface of his potential."

29. Los Angeles RamsUSA TODAY Sports: QB Ty Simpson, AlabamaESPN: OT Monroe Freeling, GeorgiaNFL Media: OT Blake Miller, Clemson

USA TODAY Sports: "Simpson is a curious case study. As a one-year starter in a shallow quarterback class, could he make the jump to the end of the first round a la Jaxson Dart? He could be an understudy to learn behind Matthew Stafford before taking over in later years."

ESPN: "[T]he OL depth could use a boost, and getting a 21-year-old with 18 starts of experience in the door late in Round 1 is a good team-building opportunity. Freeling moves well for a 6-foot-7, 315-pound left tackle, and I like the way he picks up stunts, blitzes and inside rushes."

30. Denver BroncosUSA TODAY Sports: DT Christen Miller, GeorgiaESPN: DT Caleb Banks, FloridaNFL Media: DT Peter Woods, Clemson

USA TODAY Sports: "Denver could lose John Franklin-Myers in free agency this offseason so bolstering the defensive line even more should be a priority. Miller has great tools but needs time to develop them. In Denver, there'd be little pressure to produce immediately."

NFL Media: "Folks around the league are split on Woods’ evaluation. Some don’t view him as a first-round pick, but he has the quickness to add to the league’s best pass-rush group as an inside rusher."

31. New England PatriotsUSA TODAY Sports: OT Caleb Tiernan, NorthwesternESPN: Edge Cashius Howell, Texas A&MNFL Media: OT Caleb Lomu, Utah

USA TODAY Sports: "New England has to put a premium on protecting Drake Maye. Morgan Moses will be 35 years old next season and it'd be tough to find a more reliable tackle starter than Tiernan. He hasn't missed a snap during the past four years and is a big-framed pass protector."

ESPN: "The Patriots' 35 sacks were tied for 22nd in the league. Their 31.1% pressure rate was 21st. And if they lose K'Lavon Chaisson (7.5 sacks) to free agency, those numbers could be worse. That's why Howell makes a ton of sense here. He had 11.5 sacks this past season. He is quick off the edge and keeps blockers guessing with different pass-rush moves."

32. Seattle SeahawksUSA TODAY Sports: OG Gennings Dunker, IowaESPN: CB Brandon Cisse, South CarolinaNFL Media: CB Brandon Cisse, South Carolina

USA TODAY Sports: "Last year, Seattle went with a former college tackle in the first round and moved him inside to good results in Grey Zabel. They do that again with Dunker. The Seahawks' interior could use one more piece to protect Sam Darnold and Dunker's mentality and experience could pay off here."

NFL Media: "Cisse will put on a show once we get to the testing portion of the offseason. He can fill a void if the Seahawks lose any of their soon-to-be free agents at cornerback (Coby Bryant, Riq Woolen, Josh Jobe)."
