This Saturday’s showdown between No. 6 Oregon and Oklahoma State is officially in a weather delay.
Oregon survived a scare from Boise State last weekend, as Dante Moore threw for 378 yards and three touchdowns. Oklahoma State, meanwhile, is coming off a rough Week 1 loss to Tulsa.
While the Ducks and Cowboys would love nothing more than to redeem themselves this Saturday, they’ll have to wait for lightning to clear the area.
This Saturday’s game was scheduled to kick off at 12 p.m. ET, but NCAA rules state that teams must wait at least 30 minutes without another lightning strike before resuming their game. If there’s a lightning strike within an 8-mile radius, the 30-minute clock restarts.

Familiar territory for ESPN reporter Taylor McGregor.
This past Monday night, ESPN sideline reporter Taylor McGregor had to navigate through a power outage for the SMU-Florida State game. Though it’s not a huge surprise, she handled that challenge with ease.
McGregor is now being tasked with providing updates on when Oklahoma State and Oregon will actually take the field for their Week 2 matchup.
We’re certainly hoping the weather in Stillwater clears up soon.
