- *Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man *finds Tommy Shelby confronting his son against the backdrop of World War II. - Barry Keoghan, Rebecca Ferguson, and Tim Roth join a cast of *Peaky Blinders *alums. - *The Immortal Man* is now streaming on Netflix.

By order of the Peaky Blinders, Tommy Shelby is back.

In *Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man*, a sequel to Netflix's action-packed period drama, Cillian Murphy's notorious gangster isn't the man he used to be. Tommy left Birmingham behind, but is pulled back after his sister Ada (Sophie Rundle) tells him his firstborn son is "running the Peaky Blinders like it's 1919 all over again."

Carnage is about to consume Birmingham once again, and a mix of familiar faces and new bruisers are along for the ride, with Barry Keoghan and Rebecca Ferguson among the most notable additions.

For the full breakdown, read on for **'s *Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man *cast and character guide.

Cillian Murphy as Tommy Shelby

After breaking out as the star of Danny Boyle's *28 Days Later* (2002), Cillian Murphy forged a fruitful relationship with filmmaker Christopher Nolan, featuring in the* Dark Knight* trilogy (2005–2012), *Inception *(2010), and *Dunkirk* (2017). His leading turn as the titular physicist in Nolan's *Oppenheimer *(2023) earned him an Academy Award for Best Actor.

Now, Murphy reprises his role as Tommy Shelby. Knight told ** that the gangster isn't doing great when *The Immortal Man* begins. "He's in a very bad place," Knight said. "He's withdrawn from the world. He's haunted by his life and the things he's done."

Barry Keoghan as Duke Shelby

Barry Keoghan drew attention in 2017 with supporting turns in *Dunkirk* and *The Killing of a Sacred Deer*. Since then, the Irish actor has become a bona fide film and TV star, appearing in *Eternals *(2021), *Saltburn* (2023), and *Masters of the Air *(2024). He earned his first Oscar nomination for *The Banshees of Inisherin *(2022) and is set to portray Ringo Starr in Sam Mendes' upcoming Beatles biopics.

In *The Immortal Man*, Keoghan plays Erasmus "Duke" Shelby, Tommy's illegitimate son who's taken over the story's titular gang. The character was first introduced in the show's final season, played by Conrad Khan.

Keoghan recently told *Empire* that Duke is "troubled" and "up to no good" when we see him again. "That's a boy, just looking for his father," he explained. "There's this cry for his father and this cry for the figure that he needs to be there."

Rebecca Ferguson as Kaulo

Golden Globe nominee Rebecca Ferguson has steadily been cementing her status as a blockbuster powerhouse, thanks to standout roles in the *Mission: Impossible *films (2015–2023), the *Dune *saga (2021–present), and Apple TV's sci-fi series *Silo *(2023–present). Fans may also remember her from *The Greatest Showman *(2017), *Doctor Sleep *(2019), and *A House of Dynamite *(2025).

Ferguson now steps into the *Peaky Blinders *universe as the mysterious Kaulo.

Knight told EW that he wanted Kaulo to carry real weight on screen. "I wanted her to reflect the tradition of powerful female characters and the fact that *Peaky *has always been a bit supernatural," he explained. "I wanted the idea of destiny and fate, and is it fate or is it your own choice and free will and all that."

Tim Roth as Beckett

Tim Roth's been stealing scenes for decades, with early turns in Stephen Frears' *The Hit* (1984) and Peter Greenaway's *The Cook, the Thief, His Wife & Her Lover* (1989) giving way to Quentin Tarantino's *Reservoir Dogs* (1992). In 1995, the actor earned an Oscar nod for his antagonistic turn in *Rob Roy. *

Roth re-teamed with Tarantino on *Pulp Fiction* (1994), *Four Rooms* (1995), and *The Hateful Eight* (2015), and has worked with acclaimed filmmakers such as Tim Burton (*Planet of the Apes*), Werner Herzog (*Invincible*), Michael Haneke (*Funny Games*), and Ava Duvernay (*Selma*).

Roth joins the *Peaky Blinders *world as Beckett, a Nazi with plans to use the Peaky Blinders for his own wartime machinations. Murphy, who previously worked with Roth in the drama *Broken *(2012), recently told Radio Times that Beckett "seems quite innocuous, but he's deadly."

Knight also revealed that Roth convinced him to make Beckett a working-class man like Tommy instead of a posh type — a change both Knight and Murphy loved. "It made them kind of the opposite sides of the one coin," Murphy said. "Which is brilliant."

Sophie Rundle as Ada Thorne

Sophie Rundle has cultivated a distinguished career on the small screen, and is arguably best known for her portrayal of Ada Thorne (née Shelby) on *Peaky Blinders*. But the actress is also a veteran of British series like *Jamestown *(2017–2019), *The Diplomat *(2023), and *After the Flood *(2024–present).

Rundle returns to play Ada, Tommy's sister who plays a key role in bringing him back home.**

Stephen Graham as Hayden Stagg

Stephen Graham, who joined the show in its sixth and final season, is back for *The Immortal Man*. The English actor is best known to Western audiences for playing Al Capone on *Boardwalk Empire* (2010-2014), as well as for his work in the *Pirates of the Caribbean* franchise (2011–2017) and Martin Scorsese films like *Gangs of New York* (2002) and *The Irishman* (2019).

Graham recently became a household name thanks to the Netflix limited series *Adolescence* (2025), which he co-created, co-wrote, executive produced, and starred on. It won him a Golden Globe for Best Actor and three Emmys, including Outstanding Lead Actor and Outstanding Writing.

Here, Graham returns as union leader Hayden Stagg, which he described to *Esquire* as a small role. "I make a nice little appearance in that. Just a little one. But it was wonderful to be on set with Cillian [Murphy] and Packy [Lee]," he said.**

Audiences likely know Packy Lee best from *Peaky Blinders*, but he's also battled dark forces on *The Witcher *(2019) and navigated teenage mayhem on *Derry Girls *(2022).

In *The Immortal Man*, Lee returns as fan-favorite character Johnny Dogs, Tommy's close friend and cousin.

On a February 2026 episode of the *Give My Head *podcast, Lee reflected on his experience on the series. "To play a character like Johnny Dogs for the last 12, 13 years of my life, and to play him alongside Cillian Murphy, one of the best actors of my generation, has been a joy," he said.

Jay Lycurgo as Elijah

Jay Lycurgo rose to prominence as Tim Drake, a.k.a. Batman's sidekick Robin, on HBO Max's *Titans *(2021–2023). He's since appeared on the short-lived series *The Bastard Son & The Devil Himself* (2022), had a brief role in *The Batman *(2022), and shared the screen with Murphy in the Netflix drama *Steve *(2025).

Lycurgo reunites with Murphy in *The Immortal Man*, playing Duke's loyal right-hand man Elijah. The actor hasn't said much about his character, but he previously raved about the cast and called the shoot "an amazing experience."

*Peaky Blinders* put Ned Dennehy on the map, and he chased it with a supporting role in the Nicolas Cage cult hit *Mandy *(2018). He's also appeared on shows like *Good Omens* (2019), *Outlander *(2020–2022), and *A Thousand Blows* (2026), the latter of which reunited him with Knight and Graham.

Dennehy reprises his role as Charlie Strong, an uncle figure for the Shelby clan who helped Tommy manage shipments and stable his horses. At the *Immortal Man *premiere, he described the film as having a "different vibe," adding that it's "a far cry from young lads with razor blades in their caps."

Ian Peck as Curly
