Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s famous new neighbor, Michael Whitehall, reportedly had a tough stance on having the Sussexes as his new neighbors. For those unversed, the couple flew privately from California and landed in Birmingham on August 26. Harry and Meghan intend to stay in the UK for an extended period of time and will reportedly reside in a private, non-royal home in the Cotswolds. However, it seems like one neighbor isn’t pleased with this.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s new neighbor, TV personality Michael Whitehall, delivered a harsh verdict on the couple. Whitehall discussed the matter on his and his wife Hilary’s podcast, The Wittering Whitehalls. Hilary asked Michael what he thought of Harry and Meghan as their new neighbors. She remarked: “The big news is that there are some new residents, allegedly, in the Cotswolds, North Oxfordshire no less, Michael, our territory.”

Hilary confirmed that she was indeed talking about the Sussexes. She then joked that she knew her husband wasn’t too interested in meeting them. The 86-year-old admitted: “Well no, probably not.” Delving further into the topic, Michael brutally revealed that Harry and Meghan-related discussion is beyond ranting for him.

Furthermore, he said they are not worth getting upset over and are “non-people” really. Hilary joked that they (seemingly listeners) didn’t get the “nuclear rant” that she got when it was announced that they were coming back. She added that he has “tempered” his comments down. Though the TV personality and former talent agent may not be a fan of Harry and Meghan, he definitely had words of praise for Kate Middleton. He declared that he is a “big fan” of that “nice girl” who is married to the heir to the throne (Prince William). He added that he thinks she is “amazing.”

Royal editor Simon Vigar spoke to the Express about the Sussexes’ reported decision to move to the Cotswolds. He suggested that Harry’s childhood memories, friendships in the area, and its proximity to Birmingham and Cotswolds airports could have influenced the couple’s choice. Vigar also suggested that the Cotswolds could offer the Sussexes more privacy than London.
