Alan Ritchson hasn't spoken out about his alleged physical altercation with his neighbor over the weekend — but he has posted a social media message that seemingly references it.
The Reacher star took to his Instagram page Monday night to share a caption-less post of a quote attributed to Napoléon Bonaparte, former Emperor of the French. "Never interrupt your enemy when he is making a mistake," the quote reads.
While the post doesn't say anything else, those in the comments have connected Ritchson's use of the quote to the reported events over the weekend involving his neighbor Ronnie Taylor, who claims Ritchson beat him after an argument about the noise and speed of the actor's motorbike.
"Chin up. Trust what you did was with reason and don't regret it," one Instagram user commented in part.Another wrote, "I know this weighs on you. This isn't on you. You showed your kids how to stand up for themselves, and with RESTRAINT. You did what you had to do, but you were also able to pull back while you taught the man a lesson without the excess that some would have. Doesn't change the way I see you one darned bit."

As previously reported, Ritchson and Taylor were allegedly involved in an argument that turned physical on Sunday. TMZ released video of the altercation on hours after Taylor alleged it took place during an interview with the outlet Monday.
Taylor claimed that he first approached Ritchson after the actor's first pass through the neighborhood of their Nashville suburb on Saturday. He said approached him from "quite a ways away" and asked, "'Can you slow it down please?'" The next day, Taylor said he approached Ritchson about his speed again, this time while he was riding motorbikes with his sons. Taylor claimed that he asked Ritchson to "f---ing stop this please," which is when he said things turned physical.
"He rode past once, twice. On the second time I walked outside in front of him and said, 'You've got to stop,'" Taylor told TMZ.

Video recorded from a nearby home appears to show Taylor on the ground while Ritchson punches him at least three times and his kids on motorbikes look on nearby. In his interview with TMZ, Taylor said Ritchson "kicked the crap out of him."
Taylor seemingly continues to confront Ritchson, who puts on his helmet and returns to his bike.

TMZ quotes sources close to Ritchson claim that Taylor "initiated and instigated" the entire altercation. Those sources also claimed to TMZ that Ritchson tried to defuse the situation by jumping on his bike to leave.
"I don't really wish the guy any malice or ill will, but we just don't need people riding through neighborhoods like this," Taylor told TMZ. "I just decided I'm going to take a stand because someone has to, or it's going to end up way worse."

Brentwood Police Captain Steve Pepin told The Hollywood Reporter on Monday that an investigation has been opened into the incident, but no arrests have been made. Taylor has reportedly been cooperative with the police.
Entertainment Weekly did not immediately hear back from Taylor, or from representatives for Ritchson or Brentwood P.D.
