**Warning: This article contains spoilers from *Send Help*.**

With the home release of *Send Help*, Sam Raimi's survival horror-comedy with Rachel McAdams and Dylan O'Brien, 20th Century Studios reveals an alternate ending that almost made the cut.

McAdams returns as Linda Liddle in **'s exclusive look at the deleted scene, which will be available on digital retail platforms starting Tuesday. The once-put upon office worker is basking in the glow of her victory: One year after slaying her horrible boss, Bradley Preston (O'Brien), after getting stranded on a remote island together, she's now a celebrity for turning her story into a self-help career.

The original ending sees Linda riding off into the sunset of her newfound fame, but the alternate conclusion features a rather tense confrontation between her and Franklin, a senior executive at her old job, played by Dennis Haysbert.

Franklin attempts to not-so-subtly blackmail Linda by sharing that he knows Bradley's fiancée, Zuri (Edyll Ismail), charted a boat to go find him and that said boat was found washed up on the shores of a private island. He also learned the owner of the house on that island filed a break-in report.

Franklin plays right into Linda's hand as yet another male in power who drastically underestimates her.

Raimi, who directed McAdams first in *Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness* for Marvel Studios, previously told EW the precise scene that convinced him to work with the *Mean Girls* and *Spotlight* actress again: the battle between her character, Dr. Christine Palmer, and a swarm of specters.

"I had to say things to her like, 'Do you mind [if] there's gonna be a ghost attack sequence, and you're assaulted by these ghosts?'" Raimi said. "I expected a little chagrin, but she said, 'Okay, what do we do?'...She put so much gusto into it and authenticity that she made the ghost scene work," he continues. "I had great animators to help, but she made that work as well as her character stuff. I thought, *I'm gonna work with this person again*."
