Titans' Cam Ward has cringe-worthy interaction with reporter after pointed question

NFL players and athletes in general are bound to come across a few questions in their careers that are tough to answer. Tennessee Titans quarterback Cam Ward found himself in a truly uncomfortable spot, which also made for a cringe-worthy moment during a recent press conference.
Ward was speaking with reporters and said he believes he's a "very good quarterback" and does "a lot of things different that a lot of quarterbacks can't do." That didn't resonate with the room, as shortly after Ward finished talking, a reporter intervened with a very blunt question, as Stillman and Co.'s Jared Stillman highlighted.
"Doesn't a very good quarterback have better results than you have?" the reporter asked.

To make the situation even more uncomfortable, Ward had to ask for the question to be repeated, and it was clearly asked again, as seen above.
Ward was also involved in a back-and-forth with a reporter who asked how he'd assess his preseason play. The Titans quarterback flipped the question back to the reporter, asking how he would assess it, and the response was "not well."
There's no question that it's been tough sledding for Ward throughout the start of his NFL career. The No. 1 overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft went 3-14 in his first NFL season, completing 59.8% of his passes for 3,169 yards, 15 touchdowns and seven interceptions. He started off 2016 with a less-than-ideal showing against the New York Jets, completing 59.4% of his passes for 140 yards and one touchdown in a 23-10 home loss.
