Tom Holland has faced the end of civilization as we know it as Spider-Man, but several spicy wings have proven to be the actorās downfall.
The Spider-Man actor, 30, appeared on a July 23 episode of Hot Ones with his Spider-Man: Brand New Day and The Odyssey costar Jon Bernthal. The two answered numerous questions about their roles and projects alongside host Sean Evans while sampling progressively spicier wings, per the showās usual format.
However, by the end, Holland did something no former guest had ever done: he threw up.

After completing the nearly 30-minute-long interview, Holland joined Evans, 40, and Bernthal, 49, to pose for the videoās introductory shot. The actor was visibly struggling by the end of the video and, while attempting to smile, started violently coughing instead, before leaning over behind the table to throw up.
A shocked Holland immediately started laughing, while Bernthal grabbed him by the shoulders and started cheering, āLetās go!ā and telling him to ātake a pictureā of the moment.
āYou can use that,ā Holland told the producers while laughing as Bernthal handed him a towel. āLook, Louis Vuitton, I got none of it on my clothes.ā
Bernthal then asked Evans if anyone had ever āpukedā before, to which Evans said it might be the āfirst on set ever.ā
āI love being the first,ā Holland joked.
Earlier in the interview, Holland was struggling, telling Evans at one point that he felt like he ācould black out.ā Grabbing a glass of milk, he added, āItās amazing how the milk helps and then immediately it comes right back.ā

After taking a moment to breathe, he said he was ātotally back.ā

Holland and Bernthal joined the show to discuss their latest collaborations, The Odyssey, which is in theaters now, and Brand New Day, where Bernthalās The Punisher joins the Marvel Cinematic Universe for the first time.
The movie marks Hollandās fourth solo Spider-Man movie while Bernthal returns after starring as the titular antihero in his 2017 Netflix show for two seasons. However, this isnāt the actorsā first collaboration ā the two starred together in 2017ās Pilgrimage, on the set of which they helped each other rehearse for their respective Marvel auditions.
The two have had a close bond since then. When asked what they appreciate more about each other in the decade theyāve been friends, Holland had a touching answer.
āAs a young man in this business, coming up, itās so important to find people that you can look up to, have people you aspire to be like,ā he said, pushing through the pain of the final spiciest wing. āThe way Jon is with his family and his kids, and the way he approaches his work, the way he is with people on set, the way heās been with me since I was a kid and now being 30 years old is something Iām super grateful for, and Iāve learned a lot from him as a professional.ā
He added, āThe fact that we auditioned for these movies together and we took that leap of faith together and we get to share this moment together now is pretty awesome and Iām just very grateful.ā
